Summer Style
Summer is my favorite season, because that means beach trips and time spent on the lake and by the pool. Here’s a round up of some of my favorite items for the summer!
First, let's start with sun protection! This is something that I never used to think much about until I was older. Here are two of the hats that I own and are great for summer because of their material.
Hats
Save hat: $19 and available in many different colors, I own the khaki color. This hat has a rope inside that allows it to be adjustable which makes it a great option for people with smaller heads. Splurge hat: $52 and comes in three sizes, I have the size small, the medium was a little big and I was afraid it would blow off if it was windy out. This hat has a wider brim which is what I prefer because I am used to wearing larger hats.
Beach Bag
This neoprene bag is under $40 and is a great bag for summer, its hand washable and also expands to a larger size making it more spacious. Comes with a small interior zip potch that you could keep your credit card, id and cash in when you are at the beach or pool.
Coverups
All of these coverups are under $28 and most of them come in multiple colors so if you don’t like the colors pictured below there are other options. The black one is almost identical to a Seafolly one I have that was $70! I would size up in the tie dye because it does run on the smaller side!
These were my go to shoes to wear to the pool and lake last summer. These are $14 and are a great Birkenstock dupe, they come in 3 colors!
These platforms were some of my most worn shoes last spring and summer. I could wear them all day and they never hurt my feet. I also like that they are elastic so they are easy to get on and off. They are under $100 and come in multiple colors and prints!
Here are some options that are similar to the ones above, they are just a lower price point. These are both $34, they don’t have as many color options as the platforms listed above.
Cognac Platform|Black Platform
Studded sandals are a trend you will be seeing a lot of this spring and summer. These are from Steve Madden, the price point is around $80. I own the first two pairs and got my normal size.
I love these clear ones with the rhinestones. They will go with so much! These are on preorder so if you want to snag these I would hurry!
Denim Shorts
Denim shorts are a summer must have especially for this Arkansas heat! These are my go to designer denim shorts, they are on the pricier side ($128) but are totally worth it in my opinion. I have had mine for two years and they have held up well. Being a mom I don't like my shorts to be super short because I am always chasing a little one around.
These are another good option and are a lower price of $59

$10, yes you read that right! They come in 4 different colors. The color pictured and the ones I have are “Tortoise”.
This is the perfect swimsuit for all the Mommas! It has great booty coverage and holds everything in. I did have to go up a size since it runs small.
Love this scallop high rise two piece. This one comes in three colors, this is the green color. It's a really deep emerald green. This one is $16 and it also offers great tummy coverage by offering a higher rise bottom.
